Madison's Rock

Acrylic on canvas | 24 x 20 | 2023

$12,000

Best of Acrylic: Finalist of the AcrylicWorks 11 Competition, Artist Magazine, 2024

The painting captures the wondrous awkwardness of a teenage girl precariously positioned on a rock, like a butterfly ready to spread wings and take off into the bluish vastness. The oversized boyishness of her clothes is juxtaposed against the tenderness of her profile and the lankiness of her underdeveloped frame. The limited palette, which is mostly in blue and neutral tones, speaks to the underdeveloped sense of self, tentativeness and hope.

● Gallery-wrapped heavy-duty stretched canvas 24 inches (61 cm) high, 20 inches (50.8 cm) wide, and 1.5" (4 cm) deep.
● Finished with acrylic gloss and satin varnish for UV protection and easy cleaning.
● Framed in a floating frame with antique silver coating. Framed size: 25.75 inches (65.5 cm) high, 21.75 inches (55.3 cm) wide, and 2 inches (5.1 cm) deep.

Screen Time

Acrylic on canvas | 14 x 14 | 2022

$6,000

2nd Place Award, Lyme Art Association "Expanded Visions" Exhibition, 2023

This portrait of a young girl conveys the impact of social isolation on children. It captures a moment when a young girl is left with what emerges on her phone screen. The blue light and shadows are a metaphor for sadness, loneliness, and void in her immediate environment. The dark outline of the phone in the child's hand symbolizes the world unseen to us.

● Stretched canvas 14 inches (35.5 cm) high, 14 inches (35.5 cm) wide, and 0.75 inches (2 cm) deep unframed.
● Multiple acrylic gloss and satin varnish coats for UV protection and easy cleaning.
● Custom framed. The frame color is sage metalic tint with champagne highlights. The frame adds about 1.5 inches (4 cm) along the perimeter.

Mephisto

Acrylic | 20 x 16 | 2023

$3,500

“Mephisto” speaks to deeply personal struggles pertaining to shifting values and norms. In Faust, Mephistopheles is not the one who tempts and corrupts, but the one who summons the corrupted. The foreboding color palette and the intense menacing gaze are the conduits of the symbolism. The painting was executed using the Zorn palette: Cadmium Red, Black, Yellow Ochre and Titanium White. This choice was essential for heightening intensity and concentration of emotions.

This is an original acrylic painting on stretched canvas:
● 20 inches (51 cm) high, 16 inches (41 cm) wide and 0.75 inches (2 cm) deep.
● Multiple varinish layers protect the painting from dust and UV light.
● Black ornate frame is included; frame adds about 3 inches around the perimeter

Rue

Acrylic on canvas | 20 x 16 | 2024

The painting is addressing the passing of time, body image, regret, and sorrow that a woman may experience as she ages and settles into an older body. The main intent is to bring comfort and tranquility through the interplay of light and shadow and by using warm and cool tones as a way of pointing out that every gain is a loss and every loss is a gain.

● Stretched canvas 20 inches (51 cm) high, 16 inches (41 cm) wide, and 0.75 inches (2 cm) deep unframed.
● Multiple acrylic gloss and satin varnish coats are applied for UV protection, reduced glare, and easy cleaning.
● Framed in an ornate frame with bronze and gold accents. Framed size: 24.3 inches (62 cm) high, 20.3 inches (52 cm) wide and 1.5 inches (4 cm)

Mother's Day

Watercolor | 20 x 16 | 2025

NFS

2nd Place Award at Regional Exhibition, New England Waterolor Society, 2025

The portrait focuses on capturing a complex set of emotions that can be decoded from subtleties of the facial expressions: the pursed lips, the fixed gaze, am ever so slightly raized eyebrow and a slightly titled head turn. The light and shadow interplay add to the complexity by laying down the physiognomic narrative etched by time.  The emotional story is ecchoed by folds and creases in the silk robe that speaks to brigh aspirations and a coloful life.
