About Artist

Dina Belyayeva is a New England-based, Russian-born contemporary realist artist. She received her training in a town near Moscow, famous for its historical artist colony. Early on she worked in portraiture and illustration honing her skills in representational genres. After her move to the United States, she pursued career paths in business and academia. Those experiences provided her with multifaceted inputs and created pre-requisite conditions for developing her worldview and visual vocabulary. She resumed painting in 2017 and since 2020 she dedicated herself fully to her art practice. Her visual style is fluid with a lasting emotional signature that provides a unifying theme for her artworks. As an emerging artist, Dina Belyayeva received recognition at juried exhibitions and her works found homes in private collections in the United States and across Europe. She is an Elected Member of the American Artists Professional League, Academic Arts Association, Lyme Art Association, Madison Art Society New England Watercolor Society and Rhode Island Watercolor Society.

Artist Statement

P1060070a.jpg

Human always looked for affinity and solace in art, be it divine, dream-like, visceral or deconstructed forms. In our meta-modern times when capacities seem infinite, attention spans run short and artists are challenged by AI, a need to reconcile the conflict between inner constructs and outer reality remains as pertinent as ever. As a representational artist I offer my viewers a welcoming footing to honor and nurture their inner worlds. The styles and genres I employ are mere means to provide a harmonious space in-between the worlds from a recognizable reference point. As I create alignment for myself, I invite my viewers to take off on their own path to solace and peace.
